Leonard’s Obituary
We are very sad to announce the passing of Leonard Pelletier at the age of 85.
Leonard-the 8th child from a family of 17-was born December 18,1937 at Trois-Pistoles, Quebec. He lived in Trois-Pistoles with his parents Léon & Leda Pelletier and moved with them to Guy, Alberta in the fall of 1941. The family settled in Guy where he and his siblings worked on the farm.
Leonard moved to Edmonton and worked at the General Hospital where he earned the money to be a hairdresser. This became his lifelong profession. When Nel’s Todd Beauty Salon opened a shop in Jasper Park Lodge, they asked Leonard to be the manager. He remained in Jasper for many years and eventually opened his own shop. He loved Jasper and had fond memories.
He eventually moved to Donnelly where he obtained a job as hairdresser at the Villa Beauséjour, until retirement. After he suffered a stroke in October of 2020, Leonard became a resident of Manoir du Lac in McLennan, until his death on December 24, 2022.
He was loved by all the staff members because of his friendliness and understanding.
We will miss his “joie de vivre’. Rest in Peace, Leonard.
