Passed away peacefully in his 85th year at Ross Memorial Hospital on Sunday December 25, 2022 with his family by his side. Leonard is survived by his wife Joan who mourns the loss of the love of her life. Leonard was born September 11, 1937 in Matheson Ontario and shortly thereafter moved to the Lindsay area where he lived out the rest of his days. He was predeceased by his parents Harold Johnson and Lovina Howlett, brother Albert and sister Florence. Leonard is survived by his children and step children David (Sandie), Dan, Dean (Brenda), Tracey, Tony (Laura) and Terry (Kim). He will forever be loved and missed by his grandchildren Mellissa, Jason, Carissa, Liam, Anna, Shiloh and Spencer. Beloved “Gramps” to great-grandchildren Bailey, Dawson and Oakley. Leonard was a passionate collector and restorer of antiques, in particular clocks and jukeboxes and spent many happy hours working on his old cars. It was through these hobbies and interests that he formed many lifelong friendships. He was a kind and humble gentleman who will be missed and remembered by all whose lives he touched. He will be missed by many and remembered by all. On behalf of the family our sincere thanks to Dr. Francis and the nursing staff at Ross Memorial Hospital for their dedicated care of Leonard.
