Leona Christina MacDow June 8 2022

MacDow, Leona Christina – Age 50, of Rocklin and formerly of Upper Musquodoboit, passed away June 8, 2022 at home.
Born in Truro, she was a daughter of the late Kenneth and Norma (Stewart) MacDow.
Leona crafted handiwork, particularly crocheting and knitting, making many afghans, scarves and dishcloths for others. She enjoyed animals, especially cats and her dog, Timbit. She was an outdoor person who enjoyed gardening.
For many years she worked as a CCA in Middle Musquodoboit, Braeside Nursing Home and Elk Court in Brookfield.
Surviving are her partner, Vince Mallory; daughters, Amber (Ben), Upper Musquodoboit; Leanne, Dutch Settlement; Katie, Cooks Brook; son, Liam, Cooks Brook; sisters, Violet (Garnet) Leslie, Upper Musquodoboit; Theresa (Dan Fletcher), Bass River; brother, William, Middle Musquodoboit; and many cousins.
Funeral service will be Saturday, at 3 p.m. in Sharon Presbyterian Church, Dean.
Burial will be in Hillcrest Cemetery, Upper Musquodoboit.
Memorial donations may be made to Canadian Cancer Society.
Arrangements are under the direction of Arimathea Funeral Cooperative, Upper Musquodoboit.
