Leon Russell Nason 19562022

Leon Russell Nason
1956-2022
Leon R. Nason of Harvey, NB passed away peacefully on September 24,
2022 at his home, surrounded by family, after a very courageous battle
with cancer. He was born August 25, 1956 in McAdam, NB, a son of the
late Russell and Eva (Cleghorn) Nason.
Leon was a hardworking man. He spent many years with the DOT in
Harvey, before starting his own trucking and construction company. He
was a current member of the Harvey Volunteer Fire Department, where he
spent a number of years as Fire Chief, receiving his 30 Years of
Service earlier this year.
He was always willing to lend a hand to anyone who needed it,
including rescuing his children countless times, anytime of the day or
night. He absolutely adored his grandkids, they always put a smile on
his face. He would do anything for his family.
Leon also loved taking the General Leeon out for a trip to the Country
Club. It won’t be the same without him.
He is survived by his children Adam Nason (Jennifer) and Jodi Heisz
(Lawerance); his grandchildren Emmie, Maddie, Lawson, Chase and Alex;
his sister Marlene Boon (Eric); nieces and nephews Allan (Crystal),
Wendy (Lee), Mark (Sandra), Paul (Darlene), Connie (Billie Joe),
Daniel (Tammy), Dale, and Tammy (Calvin).
Leon was predeceased by his parents, his brother Cecil Nason and a
sister-in-law Carol.
As per Leon’s wishes, there will be no visitation or funeral. A
Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
Anyone wishing to make a donation in Leon’s memory, the family
suggests Harvey Outreach or Extra Mural or the Harvey Volunteer Fire
Department.
