DAUDELIN, Leo Ulric – Was called to his Heavenly home to be with the Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ in his 88th year at the Welland Hospital with his family by his side. Leo is survived by his loving wife and best friend of 52 years, Mary Margaret Daudelin, his beloved children, John Daudelin (Leslie) Laurie Terreberry (Ken) and Donna Clements (Kevin). He loved his grandchildren Steven and Brian Terreberry, Jenny Toth (Justin), Kellie Emmerson (Alex), Amber Clements (Justin) and Erica Eeftens (Tyler). He cherished his Great Grandchildren Adeline, Anna and Leo Toth. Predeceased by his son Roger Blais (Daudelin), his parents Yvonne and Archie Daudelin, brothers Roland and Patrick Daudelin, sisters Rita Shute (Ben) and Yvette Blais (Raymond). Survived by his brothers Andy (Doreen), Albert (Sharron), Real (Jean), and sister Patricia Surrette (Jim). Also survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Leo was a loyal and faithful member of Foursquare Gospel Church for 26 years where he served as Usher then Head Usher for over 20 years. In the last 30 years he was a dedicated member of Faith Tabernacle, volunteering in the JOY Seniors Ministry. He worked at North Side Dairy for 38 years, then at Niagara South Board of Education for 10 years until his retirement in 1998. Leo was an accomplished accordion player and enjoyed playing with The Willoughby Ramblers Band for 25 years. He was an active member of the YMCA since his retirement where he was committed to swimming and exercising almost every day, along with mall walking.
A special thanks to all of the PSW workers that came daily to care for Leo. With the care and dedication of his loving wife Mary, Leo was able to remain in the comfort of his home right till God called him to his Heavenly home.
The family will receive their friends at the H. L. Cudney Funeral Home, 241 West Main Street, Welland on Monday, March 14th from 10a.m. to 11a.m. A service to celebrate Leo’s life will be held in the chapel at 11 a.m. followed by interment in Holy Cross Cemetery..
