Obituary of Lenwood Scott Anderson
ANDERSON, LENWOOD SCOTT
The peaceful passing of Lenwood “Lenny” Scott Anderson of Stanley, NB, husband of Margaret “Peggy” Anne (Henderson) Anderson, occurred on December 25, 2022 at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Regional Hospital with loving wife by his side. Born on September 1, 1936 in NB, he was the son of the late Gordon and Sadie (Jones) Anderson. Lenny was a devoted and hardworking member of the community, having worked as a Planer at ML Wilkins and Sons for many years. In his free time, he enjoyed participating in a variety of activities. He was an avid hockey fan, who particularly enjoyed watching his grandsons play for the Stanley Bulldogs. He was also a skilled Crokinole player, having never lost a game. Lenny also enjoyed spending time outdoors, participating in activities such as gardening, cross-country skiing, skating, and curling. In addition to his physical pursuits, Lenny was a member of Hillcrest United Church and enjoyed playing cards with friends and family.
In addition to his wife of 47 years, Lenny is survived by his daughters, Angela Boudreau (Mike) of Chipman, NB, and Carla Dionne of Stanley, NB; grandchildren, Jaymi Landry (Robert), Ashley Boudreau (Kyle Mebs), Michael Boudreau, Samuel Dionne (Michaela Sullivan), Alyson Boudreau (Matt Heder), and Cole Boudreau; great grandchildren, Lexie, Dawson, Jersey, Jayce, Luke, Hunter and Hazen; sisters, Jessie Fairley, Edna Smith (Lawrence); sisters-in-law, Patricia Sutherland and Anne Coughlan; brothers-in-law, Alden Henderson; several nieces and nephews. Besides his parents, Lenny was predeceased by his son-in-law Donald Dionne; brothers, Willis Anderson, and John Anderson (Sandra); brothers-in-law, Alan Fairley, Ian Coughlan, Peter Sutherland; sisters-in-law Mary Pond (Max) and Georgena Campbell (George).
Although there will be no Visitation, a Memorial Service will take place at Hillcrest United Church, 139 Graveyard Hill, Stanley, NB on Monday, January 2, 2023 at 1:00 pm with Pastor Chris Walker officiating. Interment will take place in Hillcrest United Church Cemetery at a later date. For those who wish, remembrances may be made to Hillcrest United Church or donor’s choice.
