With sadness we announce the passing of, Lenard Roy Moen Jr., on his 55th birthday on Sunday May 1st, 2022, at the Thunder Bay Regional Health Sciences Centre.
He was born May 1st, 1967, in Baudette Minnesota, to Lenard and Joanne Moen. He married Tracey Selman on August 26th,1989, in Rainy River, Ontario. Throughout the years Lenard enjoyed hunting, fishing and being on the lake with friends and family.
Lenard started out young working with his father at Morson Outboard and Automotive where he worked as a small engine and marine mechanic. Lenard then worked as a small engine mechanic at Baduik Equipment and Tompkins Hardware. On the weekends you could find Lenard tinkering on projects in his garage and cooking walleye for the family.
Lenard is survived by his wife, Tracey Moen; his three children, Justin, Shauna, and Kendra Moen; his parents Lenard and Joanne Moen and sister, Beverly Noga; along with many cousins, aunts, uncles, nieces, and nephews. He was predeceased by his father in-law and mother in-law Ross and Helen Selman; and his grandparents Roy Moen and Margaret and John Peterson, Norman Dalseg and Marie Dalseg-Littlefield.
Family and friends who were part of Lenard’s life are invited to the Forest Lawn Cemetery, 104 Atwood Avenue, Rainy River at 11 a.m. on Saturday, May 7th, 2022, for a celebration of life with Mrs. Carolyn Kreger officiating. Afterwards, there will be a come and go tea at the Knox United Church to reminisce, grieve, support each other.
If desired memorial donations in Len’s name may be made by cheque to the Rainy River Hospital Auxiliary, c/o Northridge Funeral Home Ltd., Box 89, Emo, ON, P0W 1E0.
