1936-2022
Lena Lillian (Bond) Harper – Age 85,
of Kentville, passed away peacefully at Valley Hospice on March 10,
2022 with family by her side. Born on November 20, 1936 to the late
Estella (Johnstone) Bond and Calvin
Bond.
Lena was a loving and caring mother,
grandmother, great grandmother, sister and friend, always putting
others before herself. She enjoyed being with family, playing cards
and knitting. She was a very kind and patient lady…THE BEST! Lena
spent most of her career working at Canard Poultry. Lena will be
remembered for her kind and gentle heart and she will be deeply missed
by all who knew her.
Lena is survived by daughters, Phyllis, Marion
(Charles), Patricia and Mildred (Gerald); son, Kenneth (Donna); eight
grandchildren and eight great grandchildren; sisters, Minnie, Muriel
and Marjorie; and brother, Cecil. She was predeceased by sisters,
Margaret and Kathleen; and brothers, John and
Benjamin.
Lena’s family would like to thank
Valley Hospice and VON for all the loving care they gave to our
mother.
Cremation has taken place. There will be no
visitation by request. The graveside service will be held at 2:00 p.m.
on Saturday, April 23, 2022 in Lakeview Cemetery, Lakeville, Kings
County. Pastor Christina Bigelow officiating.
Donations in memory may be made to the
Valley Hospice Foundation. Funeral
arrangements have been entrusted to the
White Family Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Kentville. On-line
