Obituary
Leanne Bonga was born on May 3, 1954, and passed away peacefully on December 9, 2022.
Leanne was the beloved mother of Daniel (Andressa) and Samantha (Paul); and cherished grandmother of Koa.
Predeceased by her loving husband John, and parents Rita and Sal.
Survived by her sister Lorna (Rudy) and brother Michael (Lena).
Leanne will be greatly missed by her family, friends and loved ones.
A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, December 17, 2022 from 3-6pm; at
2561 Folkway Drive, Mississauga
Leanne had an amazing sense of humour, kind heart, and smile that lit up any room she entered.
Leanne was a devoted teacher for many years in Canada, and finished her career teaching special needs education in the United States.
Leanne was an avid reader with a love of travel (especially Ireland, her favourite destination), which was shared with and passed on to her children.
As a music lover, one of Leanne’s fondest memories to share was seeing the Beatles in concert at Madison Square Garden in 1964.
Since July 2022, Leanne’s greatest joy was spending time with her grandson Koa.

  1. My deepest sympathies to Lorna, Michael, Daniel and Samantha. I have many wonderful memories of the times our families shared growing up. Leanne was always a great friend to have adventures with.
