Lawrence Stevens 1950 2022

It is with heavy hearts we announce the passing of our dear
brother, Lawrence on November 12 at his home in Moncton. Lawrence was
the son of the late Florence (Slade) Stevens and Lorne Stevens of
Blackett’s Lake, NS.
He was predeceased by his wife Sandra (Jones) Stevens in
2014. Lawrence is survived by his sisters, Linda DuBois (Greg) of
Blackett’s Lake and Verna Stevens (John MacDonald) of Airdrie Alberta,
as well as by his brother, Sheldon Slade (Pam) of Ontario. He leaves
behind his sisters-in-law, Shirley, Carol and Valerie Jones all of
Quebec as well as seveal nieces and nephews, and his good friend, Tim
Hogan of Moncton.
Lawrence was a kind and gentle man who along with his wife,
mentored several troubled youth for many years. Those he proudly
called “his boys”. No one in need was ever turned away from
his door.
Lawrence was retired from his work as manager of the Tandy
Leather Shop in Moncton for several years , but still enjoyed working
with leather and his other artistic pursuits in the company of his
beloved cats.
Although his health was failing, Lawrence maintained his
sharp-mind and sense of humor, and will be missed by all his friends
and loved ones.
Cremation has taken place and a celebration of life will be
held at Tuttle Brothers Funeral Home on Monday, November 21, 2022
between the hours of 2:00pm-4:00pm.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Tuttle Brothers &
