Peacefully, with his loving wife Lynda and daughter Miranda (Matt) by his side, on Friday April 1, 2022, Larry Card passed away at Trillium Villa at the age of 75. Beloved husband to Lynda. Dear father to Miranda (Matt) Mitchell. Cherished grandfather to Christian, Archer and Raevyn. Brother and brother-in-law to Gail (Robert) Porter, Effie (Les) Card, Maxine (Owen) Card, and Debra (Paul) Henri. Originally from Nova Scotia Larry moved to Ontario where he later met his soul mate Lynda. Lynda and Larry Card shared a Love many can only hope to aspire to. During their long awaited wedding Ceremony, Larry adopted his Step-Daughter Miranda. Making her an official part of his Family, although Larry loved her as his own from the very beginning. He was an attentive Father and loving Brother. Larry was a very Proud Grandfather and enjoyed spending time with his Son in-law Matthew. Larry had a heart of gold and a smile that could light up the entire house. He had the most infectious laugh and a great sense of humour. He was a kind soft spoken man often referred to as “Big Lar”. He worked as a Mover for over 30 years. Larry had a Special Love for animals; he enjoyed Car shows and WWF Wrestling. The Family would like to thank the Staff at Trillium Villa Nursing Home, and his Bayshore PSWs who supported him with Kindness and Dignity. Lar will be greatly missed by all who knew him. Cremation has taken place. A celebration of life will take place at a later date. Sympathy may be expressed through donations to the Alzheimer’s Society (cheques only at the funeral home please).
Our most sincere sympathies to the family and friends of Lawrence Larry Douglas Card December 21st 1946 April 1st 2022..
