Lawrence’s Obituary
DeVILLER, Lawrence George – age 80, Brazil Lake, formerly of Comeau’s Hill, passed away peacefully on Friday, December 31, 2021 at Yarmouth Regional Hospital. Born July 21, 1941 in Comeau’s Hill, he was a son of the late Reginald and Rose (Jacquard) DeViller. Lawrence worked as lobster buyer, worked in a boat shop and as well as having worked on the Bluenose. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus in Wedgeport. He enjoyed building model boats, fishing, spending time on Deep cove and taking trips down south. Lawrence is survived by his loving wife Eileen (Saulnier) DeViller; sons Gregory (Stephanie) DeViller, Rick (Nadine) DeViller, Keith (Bridget) DeViller and son-in-law Arnold Doucette; daughters Shirley (Bobby) Nickerson and Pam (Peter) Muise; stepchildren Alan (Bonnie) Cottreau, Lisa (Glen Doucet) Bourque and Michelle Cottreau Fevens. Lawrence is also survived by 10 grandchildren, 10 step grandchildren and six great grandchildren, also sisters Ida (Bill) DeViller and Velma (Gerald) Scott. Lawrence is predeceased by daughter Marilyn Doucette step grandson Logan Bourque and sister Georgette Saulnier. There will be no visitation. A funeral service will be held at a later date. Memorial donations in memory of Lawrence may be made to Gilles Boudreau and Friends Cancer Help Fund or a charity of your choice.
