Welcomed into heaven by her Lord and Saviour on Thursday June 2,2022 at Creedan Valley Nursing Home at the age of 95.
Joyfully reunited with her beloved husband Harold (2012). Devoted and loving mother to Caroline (Rodger Giffen), James (Myrna) and Glenna (Allan). Cherished Grandmother to Joshua (Lisa), Laura (Darren), Adam (Meghan), Zachary, Clayton, Lucas, Jessica (Tim Grotenhuis), Jacob, Nicole, Eva and “GGma” to Hunter, Elliott, Isla, Evan and Paisley.
She was the last surviving of her Martin siblings. Rene was predeceased by all of her siblings Clarence, Percy, Ernie, Edward, Filena, Gertie, Harry, Sid and Dorothy.
Rene’s family would like to thank Dr. Houston and all of the staff at Creedan Valley Nursing Home for all of their care for many many years of wonderful care for our mom.
A service to celebrate Rene’s life will be held on Friday June 10, 2022 at 2pm at the Jubilee Presbyterian Church (7320 Hwy 26, Stayner) with visitation beginning at 1pm. Join the family as we reflect and remember Rene over her favourite sweet treats following the service. She will be laid to rest with her beloved husband at Creemore Cemetery.
In Lieu of flowers donations may be made to Jubilee Presbyterian Church or Avening Community Centre.
