In loving memory of
Mr. Laurie A. Silk
September 1, 1927 – September 14, 2022
Passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family at the Rosedale Centre in Matheson on Wednesday September 14, 2022 at the age of 95. He was the beloved husband of the late Valerie Silk (McBride) and the son of the late William and late Verna Silk (nee Laughlin).
He will be sadly missed by his children Barry (late Debbie) Silk and Dennis (Janice) Silk, his grandchildren Jamie (Tom), Keri (Roger), Ashley (Joshua), Carlie (Brian) and Brody (Breanne), his great-grandchildren Landen, Brooke, Ashton, Aiden, Morgan, Riley, Navy and Harbor. He was the brother of late Lotti Burke, late Murray Silk, late George Silk and late Wilfred Silk, Aulden Silk and Donna (Bob) Balkwill and brother-in-law of Willis (late Evelyn) McBride, Dorien (late Bud) Pattison and Russell (Pearl) McBride. He also leaves behind nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Relatives and friends are welcome to visit on Saturday September 17, 2022 from 10 am at St-Andrew’s United Church in Matheson and funeral service to follow at 11 am. Reception in the Church Hall following the graveside service. He will be laid to rest at the Hillcrest Cemetery with his wife Valerie.
