Obituary of Laurette Marie Hache
HACHE, Laurette – Laurette passed away at Vision Nursing Home on Monday, February 28, 2022 at the age of 98. Beloved wife of the late Wilfred Hache. Dear mother of Yvon Hache (Peggy), Louise Lucier, Rose-Marie Shoniker (Paul) and the late Linda Hache. Loving grandmother of Lise Findlay (Robert), Lawrence Lucier, Patrick Shoniker (Lana), Marc Shoniker, Tracey Thomas and Allison Wilkinson (Jeff). Great-grandmother of Mary Jo, Calvin, Jackson, Ethan, Hailey, Brodie and Calyne. Sister-in-law of Suzette Lavoie. Predeceased by parents Henri and Marie-Helene Lavoie, brothers Edmond, Charles, Henri, Baptiste, Gerard, Joseph, Emile, Leo, Benoit and Maurice and sisters Rose-De-Lima and Jeanne. Laurette worked as a baker at St. Joseph’s Hospital for 21 years. She was the past president of the Ladies Auxillary of St. Ann’s at St. Thomas Aquinas Church. Laurette loved to travel, venturing to Europe and through the U.S. and Canada on bus tours. Visitation will be held at the McKENZIE & BLUNDY FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION CENTRE, 431 Christina St. N., Sarnia on Thursday from 6-9 p.m. Due to the restrictions of Covid19, a private Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Thomas Aquinas Church with interment to follow at Our Lady of Mercy Cemetery. Please note masks/face coverings are mandatory. As an expression of sympathy, friends who wish may send memorial donations to Canadian Diabetes Association or the Canadian Cancer Society.
