Laurence’s Obituary
Laurence Simonne Houle was born June 6, 1946; she was raised with four brothers and five sisters. Laurence grew up in a closely knit home filled with love and faith, which she passed on to the next generation.
On March 30, 1964 Laurence married her devoted husband, Aimé Laverdière, and they spent the next 58 years together. Laurence shared Aimé’s passion for living on a farm. They lived on the farm until 2001.
Laurence’s pride and joy was spending time with her children and grandchildren. Laurence loved to read, sing, dance, play cards or board games, and rock in her rocking chair. Family gatherings with family or friends was always precious to her.
As soon as weather permitted, Laurence and Aimé would explore many different campgrounds-often surrounded with their children, grandchildren, family and friends, and, by one of Aimé’s warm bonfires. Winter months were often spent down south, where the weather was warmer, and at many jamborees were danced.
Laurence and Aimé travelled to many parts of the world which are all captured in numerous photo albums.
Laurence started each day praying for her husband, three children and their spouses, five granddaughters and one great-granddaughter. She also prayed for all other family members and friends too.
Our prayers were heard on October 26 and now it is Laurence’s time to rest in peace.
