Larry Robert French
March 16, 1949- December 29, 2021
On Wednesday, December 29th, 2021, Larry Robert French passed away at Mackenzie Health in Richmond Hill in his 73rd year. Larry was born and raised in Newmarket. He spent most of his life in Richmond Hill where he was the landlord of “the apartment”. Larry was the jack of all trades. He could build or fix anything and was a hard working contractor for many years. Larry was a kind, loyal man that attracted people to him. He was the loving partner of the late Evelyn Chalmers (2020) for over 30 years. He is survived by his two daughters Helena Devout (Anastacis Christoforidis), Nicole French, step-daughter Michelle Chalmers (Steve) and step-son Derek Chalmers. He was a loving grandfather to Seth, Andrew, Ryan, Brett and Kaitlyn. Larry enjoyed the Legion, playing billiards, card games and loved the outdoors, spending time up north. Larry will be lovingly remembered by all his family and friends. We want to sincerely thank all of Larry’s friends at “the apartment” on Bayview, who helped with groceries, made meals, drove him to therapy and assisted Larry with his duties while he was ill. The family would like to extend gratitude to the medical and nursing team at Mackenzie Health during his final days.
A service will be held at the Marshall Funeral Home, 10366 Yonge Street, Richmond Hill on Monday, January 10, 2022 at 12 noon, with visitation one hour prior.
