LARRY DENNIS FORD
1956 — 2021
Larry was born and raised in Port Coquitlam, B.C. He worked numerous jobs all around BC, until settling down in Kamloops, where he got married to Karen, and had his first son Jake. Soon after they moved to Prince George where they co-owned the Prince George buy and sell, and settled into their new home on Ness Lake. Before long they welcomed their second son, Tyler.
Years later, Larry moved back to Kamloops and married for a second time to Barb, where he drove trucks until starting his employment at Molycop. As the hands of time spun, he found himself once again in his home town of Poco, until meeting Susan and her daughter Anjali, where they moved to Fort St John and settled in for a life in the north. After 15 years he moved back to his final resting place, in Kamloops.
He will be sorely missed by all who knew and loved him.
Larry was predeceased by his parents, Sam and Ruby Forde, and his step son Aarion Howden.
He leaves behind his brothers John (Joanne), Dave (Gayle), son’s Jake and Tyler, and grandson Garrett. He also leaves behind his blended family: step daughter Monique, granddaughters Alaina and Natasha, grandsons Cameron, Carson, Tyler, and Jace, as well as 3 great-grandkids Lyla, Sylvia and Evelyn, his dog Bart, and numerous other cousins, nieces, and nephews.
Larry was a man with many passions and talents. From riding motorcycles, mechanics, horses, music, writing, woodwork, lacrosse, painting, art, water skiing, and creating his own tools and gadgets. There was nothing he couldn’t fi x, and his hands were proof of it.
A man who was unapologetically himself, with a pure and authentic soul. His cremation was held on August 20, 2021, but his sons will follow his wishes, and spread his ashes in the desired location. Following the service, there will be a celebration of life at Jake’s residence of 1059 Laroque Street. All friends and family are welcome.
