Lance Allison Ekelund 1960 2022

Lance Allison Ekelund
January 15, 1960 – December 12, 2022
With broken hearts, we announce the passing of Lance Allison Ekelund at Drayton Valley Hospital and Care Centre during the early hours of Monday, December 12, 2022.
Lance loved driving truck, and he could not have been luckier to do that while working for such a wonderful company. The time he spent at Can-Vac Oilfield Services allowed him to live out his passion, all while being surrounded by a truly amazing group of colleagues and friends. Above all, Lance’s favorite pastime was camping with his grandchildren and telling jokes.
Lance will be lovingly remembered by his wife, Jane Ekelund; children, William Ekelund, Marsha Ekelund, Jacqui Brasco, William Waunch, Marvin Campbell, Christopher Campbell, Daniel Campbell and adopted daughter, Christina Oliver; 17 grandchildren; sisters, Audrey and Lolly and step-sister, Denise.
Lance was predeceased by his parents, Eunice and William and brother, Blaine.
The family would like to send a special “thank you” to the entire team at Can-Vac for the great memories made over the years.
For those who so desire, memorial donations in Lance’s name may be made directly to the Cross Cancer Institute.
