Kurt Heidt Monday January 24th 2022

It is with great sadness and a heavy heart that we announce the passing of Kurt Karl Heidt on Monday, January 24th, 2022 in Brockville. He was born on December 29, 1931 to Karl and Margaret (Mertz). ( both predeceased)
At age 90 he succumbed to complications due to a stroke at his home with his loving wife and daughter by his side. He will be dearly missed and fondly remembered by his beloved wife of 61 years Irmgard, son Robert (Lisa), daughter Karin (Michael), and sister Magdalene, nieces, nephews, grandchildren, friends and neighbours alike.
Kurt, a big dog lover, motorcycle and nature enthusiast, always enjoyed the great outdoors be it hiking, bicycling, camping, skiing, snow shoeing, boating, sailing, canoeing or kayaking. Kurt was always willing to help out someone in need even if it meant inconveniencing himself. He lived a good life.
In keeping with Kurt’s wishes there will not be a formal service. To leave a condolence or share a memory please click on the Memory Wall Button above.

  1. Kurt was our first friend in Brockville. We purchased a property in the neighbourhood and built our own house in 2015. From foundation work until the roof was on and the windows and doors were installed, he helped us almost every day. From that first day and ever since, he has generously shared his time, tools, knowledge and good humour.
We offer our sincere sympathies to Irmgard, Karen and all his family and friends.
    We miss you Kurt.
    Rest in Peace.
    Gordon and Donna Applebee
