TANTARDINI, Kristopher “Kris” John –
Today we lost one of our brightest lights.
It is with the heaviest of hearts that we share the sudden but peaceful passing of Kristopher “Kris” John Tantardini on December 25th, 2022.
Kris was a devoted father to his son Troy who was his pride and joy and the center of Kris’s entire world. Nothing gave Kris more happiness in this life than being Troy’s Daddy and they shared countless happy times together in the park, snapping selfies and creating forever memories. Kris cherished every moment and experience that he could share with his son. Daddy will love you always Troy and you will forever be his Happy Feet.
Kris loved with all his heart and had so many friends that he considered his family. He will be fondly remembered by his Aunt Maria and Uncle Mike Mackay, Milla Adams and his many cousins. Kris will be sadly missed by his loving partner, Kim Malison; and his close friends, Jim, Colleen, Jeff, Monica, Brody and Tanner.
Kris will be reunited in heaven with his parents, the late Christine (Frank) Tantardini (1995) and the late Mario John Tantardini (2004), whom he missed so dearly.
Kris had a smile and personality that lit up a room and would make anyone feel special. Kris’s passion was helping others; friends, family and strangers alike. He looked forward to volunteering his time downtown on Sundays serving meals and sharing laughs with those who attended. Kris had the biggest heart and he was generous to a fault. He would, and did on occassion, give the coat off his own back to help someone in need.
When Kris wasn’t busy helping someone, he enjoyed riding his Harley. He met many wonderful friends through his riding club and his energy will be missed.
Life is short, forgive quickly, love honestly, laugh easy,
Keep it simple, ride often, ride free
And never regret anything that made you smile.
This is how Kris lived his life.
Today in Kris’s honour, take a moment and make someone’s day brighter as he certainly made our days brighter and happier.
It is your time to rest now our dearest Kris.
A special thank you to the wonderful healthcare teams that assisted Kris. Dr Gibson, The Grand River Team of Doctors and entire Cancer Care unit and The Guelph General Cancer Care unit; Kris raved about how incredible and kind each of you are. Thank you to his Bayshore Nurses and especially to Katrina for such exceptional care.
A Celebration of Kris’s Life will take place at a later date with details to follow.
