Obituary
It is with broken hearts that Koenraad’s family announces his passing on Sunday, March 20, 2022. He went peacefully at home with his loving wife & best friend Judy at his side where she has always been for the last 60 years. He leaves behind in mourning his loving sons & best friends Keith (Megan), Kirk (Evangeline); brothers Gary (Trudy), Cameron; grandchildren Holden, Paige, Grayson, Kaiden, Mya; nieces Breanne & Carly, and many more loving family members. Predeceased by his mom & dad Hiske & Klaas, his mother & father-in-law Stan & Annie Keeler, his sister Jane & sister-in-law Ruby.
Koenraad immigrated from Holland as a young boy along with his mom, dad, and sister. He completed his education in Kingston, and then with his wife grew a successful school transportation business for the Board of Education, providing personalized transportation of Special Education and the French Immersion students to and from school. His passions were farming of beef cattle and gardening.
We would like to thank his doctors, Dr. Tomiak, Dr. Lawlor, Dr. Owen, Dr. Moraes; Paramed nurse Wendy; Megan and Amy from Home and Community Care, the Palliative Care Team, and Trousdale Funeral Home for all of their help and support.
In honouring Koenraad’s wishes a private family service has been held, and Koenraad will be laid to rest at Glenhaven Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers the family request donations be made to The Cancer Centre of South Eastern Ontario.
