It is with great sadness and heartbreak to announce the sudden passing of (King) Kingsley Clifford McIvor July 13, 1969 – January 18, 2022
Kingsley leaves to mourn his beautiful wife, Brenda of 5 years, his 3 children Krystine Mousseau granddaughters Mary and Khloe, his sons Kingsley Brett and Nigel Thaddeus, his step children the late Mike Perswain, Marisa Whitford, Jessica Whitford, Craig Perswain and many grandchildren that he took as his own
He was predeceased by his parents Stewart and Lena McIvor, his eldest brother Michael Bryant McIvor Sr
He leaves his brothers Don (Sharon), Stewart Jr. Gerald (Louella), Irvin, Mike, sisters Mary Agnes, Sandra, Sharon (Mike) He also leaves his life long friend and fellow musician Daryl (Mousie) Roulette
Kingsley leaves behind a legacy of great music and many many friends. He spent his life learning and doing music. He was a professional guitar player / picker, a great singer and he can play any instrument. Kingsley was also an avid cook and shared with everyone, he would always open his heart and his door and make sure everyone was fed , he loved his traditional food and home cooked meals.
He sure leaves a huge heartbreaking impact. He loved his friends and was willing to share anything he had. He also taught many people including his niece Jasmine and his nephew Ian how to play guitar, bass and how to sing. His passion for music was contagious, he played in numerous bands since he was a teenager, he played with his brother Irvin and best friend Daryl Mousie Roulette and others with the Southern Breeze Band for 30 years
Kingsley, you left us so suddenly but you will be forever in our hearts until we all meet again.
May you fly high and watch over us and jam with the musical friends who are there waiting for you
Wake Service will begin on Friday, January 28, 2022 at Amaranth Community Hall at 2:00 PM.
Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, January 29, 2022 at Amaranth Community Hall at 2:00 PM. Interment will follow at Sandy Bay Cemetery. Pallbearers are Irvin McIvor, Irvin Spence. TJ Murdock, Ed Desjarlais, Ken the cat Desmarais, Ian Roulette, Craig Perswain, Ronald McIvor. All friends, family nieces, nephews and grandchildren are considered Honorary Pallbearers.
