Kim McLeod Stanley March 14th 2022

On March 14, 2022, Kim Louise McLeod left her earthly home to rest in the arms of her Lord. She was born in Medicine Hat to John Stanley and Patricia Denis on February 19, 1973.
Kim leaves behind to cherish her memory the father of her children, Greg McLeod; and her three children, Kate (Kyle) Noecker, Joel McLeod, and Heath McLeod. She was a beloved sibling to Kirk Stanley, Jacqueline Stanley, and Heather (Craig) Barton; cherished and much loved niece of Barry (Denean) Denis, Brian Denis, Mary Ann (Greg) Kennedy, Cecile (Gary) Flater, and Jacqueline Ann (Keith) Searle; as well as loving aunt to four nieces and six nephews.
Kim was known for her kindness to everyone she encountered, her willingness to help anyone who needed her, and her bubbly personality. She had a love for Jesus, and for her children, whose wellbeing was of utmost importance to her. Growing up in Medicine Hat and living there for most of her adult life, Kim became an important member of the community, specifically through her children’s lives, her work, and soccer. She was an important member of the soccer community, playing most of her life and raising children who got to share in that love. She was her children’s biggest fan and found so much joy in watching them play sports as well as watching them having fun together. Kim received her Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology from the University of Calgary, and later became a Kinship and Foster Care Caseworker for Children’s Services. She was passionate about helping people, pouring her heart into her job and the families she worked with. Her ability to attentively listen to anyone who spoke with her garnered her deep relationships and friendships lasting from childhood.
Kim was an authentic, genuine person who brightened the day of anyone she spent time with. Her wonderful sense of humour, fun-loving personality, and beautiful smile will be missed dearly by her family and those she met. Words truly cannot express what Kim meant to so many, and how much she will be missed.
