NEWTON (CROPPO), Keri-Lynne – It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Keri-Lynne Newton (Croppo). Keri passed away unexpectedly on December 22nd, in her home at the age of 41. Keri is survived by her loving husband Ross Newton, her fur babies Dexter and Artoo, Mother Colleen Garant, sister Melanie Croppo, brother Mathew Croppo, sister in-law Melissa Newton, Kristine (Robert) Deman, brother in-law Doug (Merissa) Newton, dearly loved by many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins. In her final moments she was with her husband, who had taken care of Keri for years as her health deteriorated. Christmas was Keri’s favorite time of year. She loved the snowy wonderland in Chalk River and the Christmas spirit. While healthy, Keri would spend much of her time in the outdoors and volunteering at animal shelters and sanctuaries. She loved nature and animals and spent hours in her backyard taking pictures of nature, gardening, and watching for wildlife. Most of all, she loved her pups. She enjoyed drawing and painting and her house is adorned with many of the pieces she created. She had a talent for home design, cooking, and baking. Keri was a military wife, and fiercely proud of her husband in his duty. In recent years, Keri’s health began to deteriorate. She was diagnosed with Lupus and struggled with managing her symptoms and the progression of the disease. Those that knew her know how much this disease took a toll on her. Her husband was steadily at Keri’s side through all of this. Despite her health issues, Keri was constantly checking in on everyone through messages and phone calls. She had an irresistible smile, an enormous heart and a generous soul. You always knew she would be there for you in a heartbeat. The family will receive relatives and friends at the Neville Funeral Home, 491 Isabella St., Pembroke on Friday, December 30th, 2022 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. followed by cremation. Family and friends will hold a celebration of life at a later date. In lieu of flowers to the funeral home, donations may be made out to Lupus Canada or World Wildlife Fund. In keeping with Keri’s wishes please dress casually and comfortably. Online Condolences may be left at www.nevillefuneralhome.ca
