Blair, Kenneth F. “Ken”
Ken passed away peacefully surrounded by the love of his family at Lanark Lodge, Perth on Monday evening, December 12th, 2022 in his 91st year. He was the devoted and dearly loved husband of Dorothy (Heney) Blair for 68 years; father of Bonnie (late Jack) Nolan, Gerry (late Gladys Lowry), Barb (late Charlie) Lance, Kelly (Ian) Murphy; grandfather of Sue (Yves) Proulx, John Nolan, Polly (Louie) Felhaber, Ruth (Philippe) Proulx, Anna (Brian) McIntyre, Ben (Emma) Blair, Lyndsey (Nick) Jarvis, Neil (Laura) Blair, Dustin (Joanne) Murphy, Bailey (Jaimie) Lachance, David (Amy) Murphy and the late Ivy Ryan. He will be sadly missed by his 29 great grandchildren, 5 great great grandchildren, sister Joyce (late Stuart) White, sister-in-law Joyce Heney, numerous nieces, nephews, family and good friends. Ken was predeceased by his parents Harold (Fanny) Blair, brothers-in-law Gerald (Margaret) Heney, Howard (Shirley) Heney, Harold Heney and sister-in-law Irene (Ed) Roberts and Dorothy’s parents, Burgess and Florence Heney. He will be fondly remembered by everyone at Lanark Lodge.
Friends may pay their respects at the Blair & Son Funeral Home, 15 Gore St. W., Perth Monday December 19th, 2022 from 2:00 to 8:00 P.M. The funeral service will be held in Glad Tidings Pentecostal Church, 160 Wayside Drive (Highway 7), Perth on Tuesday December 20th, 2022 at 11:00 A.M. followed by a reception in the church hall. Ken will be laid to rest in the Scotch Line Cemetery, his final journey to be completed with a horse drawn wagon. In remembrance of Ken, memorial donations to the Therapeutic Riding Program on-line at “ConnectWell Therapeutic Riding Program Donation” or the Recreational Fund of Lanark Lodge would be appreciated. Ken’s life was devoted to his family and friends, his horses and his lifelong passion of cutting firewood and working in the bush.
