Kenneth William Hayward Thursday January 20th 2022

HAYWARD, Kenneth William — Left us on January 20, 2022 at The Bridge Hospice, Warkworth at the age of 85 years old. Ken was the beloved husband of Gwendolyn (nee Hacker) for over 64 years. Loving father of Carrie (Mark, predeceased), Steven (Martina) and Pollyanne, predeceased. Dear Grandpa of Percerval, Devon and Lukas (Lauren). Known with fondness as ‘Brother Ken’ to his many brothers & sisters-in-law, and ‘Uncle Ken’ to his numerous nieces, nephews, and Jamaican friends. Ken spent his working life in the transportation industry. After retirement he enjoyed many trips abroad, time at his Dickey Lake cottage and winters in Seaford Town, Jamaica before moving to Hastings, ON. Many thanks to the compassionate Palliative Care Teams at Northumberland Community Care, St. Elizabeth and The Bridge Hospice, as well as all the help he received from his thoughtful neighbours over the last few years. Private arrangements have been made. In memory of Ken, donations may be made to the Ontario Wildlife Foundation, Kidney Foundation of Canada or LOFT Community Services, Toronto. Online condolences may be made at www.brettfuneralchapels.com.
