It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of our loving husband, dad, and “papa” after a long battle with pulmonary fibrosis. He passed away with his family at his side at the Holmberg House Hospice on March 3, 2022.
Ken was born on November 1, 1944 to Dietrich and Justina Peters in St. Boniface, Manitoba. He loved his family and friends and took great pleasure in gathering those close to him. His lifelong passion was flying, from his first flight in high school through a long career in commercial aviation. He enjoyed motorcycle trips, landscaping, tennis, and memorable winters in Palm Springs with family and friends. Ken served on the boards of the Friends of the MEI Society and Fraser Valley College and was president of several strata councils.
Ken leaves behind his wife and best friend Linda, his children Kevin (Kimberly) and Tamara (Rich), along with his grandchildren Jaimee (Pete), Madalyn, Jayson, Ryan, Makayla, Lauryn, and Josh, and great-granddaughter Sage. He was cherished by his extended family and many friends. He was predeceased by his parents, brother Arnold, and sister Anita.
A memorial service will be held on March 14, 2022 at 11:00 at Central Heights Church. In lieu of flowers, please consider donating to Abbotsford Hospice Society in his memory.
