Kenneth “Ken” PERRIER — Halifax
Age 74, of Halifax. It is with extreme sadness that we announce the death of Ken Perrier on April 19, 2022. Born in Halifax was the son of the late William and Alvina Perrier. Husband of beloved wife Anne Anthony. At a very young age Ken started working for A & M Smith Company Fish Exporters in Halifax on Lower Water street, working in a hole of a boat forking fish. Later working at C.E. Choats & Company Ltd. Ken joined the Canadian Armed Forces in 1967 to 1970. Ken grew up as a hard worker and since then has been a self-employed carpenter and contractor for 45 years until his retirement in 2015. In 1966 Ken graduated from the Victory School Ministry, out of a class of 53 Ken was one of the two who graduated. July 4, 1997, Pastor Stephen Wade ordinated Ken as a Non-demominational Minsiter at Paradise. After becoming ordianed Ken devoted a great deal of time with the less fortunate. Evangelizing became one of Ken’s greatest desires. At the age of 18 Ken started donating blood to the Canadian Red Cross Society. In 2000, 278 donations later, because of ill health, Ken ceased donating. Ken leaves behind his beloved wife, Anne; daughter, Celeste Carabin (Charles) British Columbia; sons, Kevin (Barbara) Winnipeg, Man.; Mark, Halifax; his granddaughter, Jessica, British Columbia; stepsons, Chris, and Sean Anthony both of Halifax; his brother, Michael Perrier (Linda); sisters, Shirely Carson, Joyce O’Rourke, and Sharon Fraser (Sonny). Ken is predeceased by his sisters, Helen, Doris, Jeanette and Yvonne; brothers, Billy, Gordon and Brian. Ken will be sadly missed by all of his children, siblings, neices, nephews, and friends. Ken was a kind-hearted, full of life and enjoyed a good belly laugh. Cremation has taken place. A private interment will take place at a later date in Gate of Heaven Cementary, Sackville, In lieu of flowers, Ken would appreciate you passing on a good deed in his memory.
