Obituary
Its with sadness we announce the passing of Kenneth James Huggins, of Peers, Alberta, at the age of 83 years young. Kenneth passed away at the Edson Hospital on Thursday May 26, 2022.
Kenny was born in Fairholm, Saskatchewan, on July 3rd, 1938, to Violet and Lawrence Huggins. He was the last of 6 children from that marriage.
Kenny leaves to mourn his wife Marion, his children, grandchildren and great grand children and brothers and sisters as well as many special friends.
Kenny loved fishing, partying with his fishing buddies and family get togethers. Before Kenny and Marion moved to Peers they lived in Cando, Saskatchewan, which he called his real home. Kenny was a superintendent for an Ontario company called Ecodyne Ltd. that built cooling towers. Whenever he got the chance, he talked about the towers he helped build, one of which was in Nicaragua as well as in Mexico. Kenny and Marion travelled across Canada working from the east coast to the west coast of Canada, making many memories with family and crew that worked with them. Kenny retired when he turned 65, but right up until he passed, he talked about Ecodyne. Kenny liked working with wood and together with family renovated older homes for resale after he retired. He loved his Schnauzers, horses, and Budweiser beer.
You will be missed by many Kenny, but you will always live in our hearts.
In keeping with Ken’s wishes there will be no funeral service. His cremated remains will be placed to rest in Fairholm, Saskatchewan, with many members of his family.
A very special thank you to the wonderful, compassionate nursing staff at the Edson continuing Care wing of the Edson Hospital. Your kindness will always be remembered.
Always in our hearts Kenny, Rest in Peace until we meet again.
