À la mémoire de
Kathy Byczko
17 février 1942 –
6 mai 2022
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our beloved Kathy (Kazimiera) who
passed away peacefully, surrounded by love, in the early hours of Friday May 6, 2022 with her loving daughter, Jane, by her side.
Beloved wife of the late Emil and dear mother of Jane (Andrew). Loving and cherished grandmother (Babcia) to her adoring granddaughters Alexandra (Adam) and Alana (Andre).
Loving great grandmother to her great grandchildren, Palmer, Jordan and Rylan.
Dear daughter to her late parents Joseph and Stanislawa Pochwalowski. Sister to her brother John (Lee) and her late sister Irene (Dennis).
Kathy was born in Siberia during WWII, returned to Poland after the war, and with her family, immigrated to Canada in 1959.
Shortly after, she met the love of her life, Emil. Kathy loved to travel and travelled extensively with her husband, Emil.
Kathy was a dedicated mother and grandmother. Her greatest passion being an extremely loving mother and grandmother.
She had the ability to make anyone around her feel instantly at ease, with her beautiful and comforting smile, sly sense of humour and enormous heart.
Her innate ability to share a big smile, a laugh and many words of wisdom will be dearly missed. Kathy was extraordinarily kind, generous and loving to anyone who had the pleasure of knowing her well. Kathy will be greatly missed by all, but especially by her daughter, son-in-law and grandchildren.
Funeral Mass to be held at St. Casimir’s Church, 156 Roncesvalles Ave, on Thursday May 12th at 10:00am.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Kidney Foundation of Canada.
