Kathryn’s Obituary
Reeves, Kathryn Isabel “Kay” – 87, Debert, N.S. formerly of Malagash, N.S. It is with great sadness we announce the passing of our beloved mother, grandmother and great grandmother. Born in Bayhead, and living in surrounding areas most of her life, many of which were with her husband in Malagash. Kay was a devoted loving wife and “Goose” (as known by her grandchildren and great grandchildren). She was a wonderful caring mother, grandmother, and great grandmother! She loved playing games especially, Skip Bo and Bingo on a Saturday night with her grandkids. Some of the fun was at her own expense, whether it be from the older grandsons or the youngest! In her early years, Kay worked at the Sunset Home, and later on in Oxford, but her real love was to be at home with her children. Kay was an excellent cook, a good seamstress and knitter. She loved doing crossword puzzles which kept her mind sharp. Surviving are her daughters, Angie Reeves, Debert and Tanya Sylliboy (David), Millbrook also her grandchildren, Matthew Purdy, (Melissa), Ryan Purdy, (Holly), Connor Reeves-Sylliboy, Chance Sylliboy, Patience Sylliboy and Summer Sylliboy. Her great grandchildren, Alissa Purdy, Myles Purdy and Greyson Goo Goo; brothers, Jackie Cook, (Valerie), Jimmy Cook and Roger Cook, (Dianne); sisters, Myrtle Cook (Byron), Joan Reeves (Kenneth) and Cheryl Reeves (Mac). She was predeceased by her father, Thomas Cook; mother, Moira Madore; husband, Albert Reeves, daughter Debbie Purdy (Roy); brother, Ronnie Cook (Gertie), sister Jean Duggan (Charlie), son in law, Paul Marcott (Angie). Graveside Service will be held Wednesday, July 27 at 2 pm in Monument Hill Cemetery, Richmond. Reception will follow in the Wallace Community Hall.
