Obituary
ROSS, Kathryn Marlene “Kaye” – 81, of North East Point, formerly of Shag Harbour passed away peacefully at Yarmouth Regional Hospital on September 26, 2022. Born on February 6, 1941, she was a daughter of the late Marguerite (Brannen) Nickerson and John Cecil Nickerson. Kaye loved her family and friends. Travelling with her husband, niece, Cindy and sister-in-law, Helena, made her happy. She enjoyed her work as bookkeeper at W. Sears Seafood, and Island Pride Construction. She also was bookkeeper for the Shag Harbour Incident Society and loved this very much. She loved her friends: Bonita and Leigh, Judy and Martin and the Newell family. She is survived by her husband, Thomas sister-in-law, Helena; nieces, Cindy, Julie; brother-in-law, Donnie (Paullette), Jackie (April); sister-in-law, Patsy; many nieces and nephews. Kaye was predeceased by her parents, Marguerite and John; brother, John; mother-in-law and father-in-law, Thelma and Enslow Ross; brother-in-law, Felton; and sister-in-law, Julie. There will be a visitation, Thursday, September 29, from 7-9 p.m. at the H. M. Huskilson’s Funeral Home, Barrington. There will be a graveside service held on Tuesday, October 4, 2 p.m. at the Centreville Cemetery, Centreville, with Pastor Phil Williams officiating. Memorial donations may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation, Kidney Foundation, or charity of choice.
