In God’s perfect
timing, our beloved, Kathleen “Kay”, “Katy”
Elizabeth (Lutz) Wilmot passed into theving arms of Jesus.
On this special and honored day, Monday, January 3rd, Kay (Mom) left
her earthly home and shed her earthly tabernacle in exchange for her
heavenly home of enduring and complete rest. She passed
peacefully at home with her cherished family by her side.
Born to loving and godly parents Bertha Jane (Ryan) and Henry David
Lutz of Pine Glen, NB, on July 29,1944, she was the fourth child of
six.
On December 21, 2021 Kay and
Allen were excited and pleased to celebrate their 58th wedding
anniversary. Together they took pride in raising their four
children. Kay was a wonderful homemaker with a flair for decorating,
crafts, baking, sewing, writing poetry, and gardening. She and Allen,
along with their good friends, Diane and Goody, enjoyed numerous
fishing, camping and boating expeditions. With their children mostly
out of high school, Kay became an esteemed and sought-after floral
designer at MacArthur’s Flower Shop in Moncton.
She also supplied cut flowers for local flower shops and proudly
offered her gardens as part of local garden
tours.
Her strong faith in Jesus led
her to serve on the evangelism team at Forest Hills Baptist Church in
Saint John and Lower Coverdale Baptist church. She also
served in the prison ministry at Dorchester/Westmorland and the
Lighthouse ministry in Moncton. She was always willing to
share the Good News and in her last days she was careful to maintain
that legacy.
Along with her parents, she is
predeceased by sisters Annie Sprague and Ruth Cole, brother David
Lutz, and great-granddaughter, Sarah Esther
Britton.
She will live on in the hearts
of her loving husband, Allen (Al), her son Scott (Susan) of Lower
Coverdale, daughters Susan (Danny) Britton of Moncton, Lorena (Joe)
Comeau of Halifax, and Rhonda (Brock) Symonds of Moncton as well as 13
grandchildren, Samuel, Sarah-Jane, Joshua, Rebekah, Caleb, Luke,
Rachel, Robyn, Jacob, Ericka, Jack, Megan, Tessa, 8
great-grandchildren, Nehemiah, Rebekah, Lincoln, Evelynn, William,
Grace, Henry, and Brantley, and sisters, Sandra (Doug) McLaughlin and
Sharon Crossman. She will also be missed by several nieces, nephews,
cousins, numerous wonderful friends, as well as by her special friend
and fellow adventurer, Diane Baxter.
She will be remembered for her
love of Jesus and the scriptures, her beautiful smile and laughter,
her caring generosity to help those in need, her hard-working ethic,
her teasing nature, her love and skill with flowers, her homemade
pickles, jams, cakes and other treats. She was a seamstress
and decorator and took pride in doing her many jobs well – topping
that list was her caring devotion to her husband and
family.
