Kathleen Joyce Burgess
1960-2022
It is with sad and broken hearts that we announce the sudden
passing of Kathleen (Kathy) Burgess of Grand Manan, NB on October 11,
2022.
Kathy loved living. She raised four children. Kathy
worked in the home as a young mother and then joined the workforce
later. She worked in her father’s store until his retirement and then
she joined Kindred Home Care as a homecare worker. She loved this job
and grew to love her clients as well. Kathy loved gardening, knitting
and beachcombing. She also loved to spend time with her family. In
recent years, Kathy loved and worshipped The Lord. She found a church
home at Immanuel Family Church. Rev. and Mrs. McComiskey and the
church family loved and accepted her there.
Kathy is survived by her children: Lloyd (Becky), Irene
(Billy), Laura (Michael) and Christopher (Amber), 28 grandchildren and
great grandchildren. She is also survived by her parents: John and
Charmaine Brown, as well as her siblings: Steven (Tanya), Charlie
(Claudia), Lisa (Bev) and their families, aunts, uncles and cousins.
Kathy is predeceased by both sets of her grandparents and
Grannie.
Our family would like to express our sincere thanks to all
the doctors, nurses, paramedics and hospital staff that helped Kathy
so many times. Thanks also to her homecare workers who took care of
her and the dial-a-ride volunteers who helped her so
often.
