Obituary of Katherine Lina Mason
RIVERTON – Katherine Lina Mason, 70, Riverton, passed away peacefully Wednesday, March 30, 2022, in the Aberdeen Hospital, New Glasgow.
Born in New Glasgow, she was a daughter of the late James William and Lillian Pearl (Grealey) Reid. In earlier years, Kathy began working with MacLaughlin’s Flowers. She had been employed with the former Sears store, Highland Square Mall and warehouse, Stellarton. Prior to retirement due to ill health in 2004, Kathy was employed with Eastern Sign Print, Stellarton. She was a member of Christ Anglican Church, Stellarton. Kathy enjoyed crafting, most recently, junk journaling and seasonal decorating. She was a loving wife and mother who was very family orientated.
Surviving are her husband of 49 years, Clifton Harold “Cliff” Mason; daughter, Lori (JJ) Sutherland, Foxbrook; brother, Allen (Mary) Reid, Riverton; nieces, Kim (David) MacLean, Durham; Candace Reid, Riverton; nephew, Michael (Terri-Lee) Reid, Ottawa.
Funeral service will be held 11 a.m. Saturday, April 2 in P. & K. MacDonald Funeral Home Chapel, New Glasgow with Rev. Dr. Glen Matheson officiating.
Donations may be made in Kathy’s memory to The Kitten Suites, Kitten Rescue Society Pictou County, 742 Foxbrook Road, Foxbrook, NS B0K1S0.
