Obituary of Katherine Ivy Janes
Passed away at the Central Newfoundland Regional Health Center on June 13, 2022 after a lengthy illness, Katherine Ivy Janes. She was 85 years of age. Mrs. Janes retired from her nursing career in 1998. She is predeceased by her father Robert Brett, her mother Mabel Brett, and her sister Joyce Reid. Left to mourn with loving memories is her husband Bert Janes; son Craig (Lori) Janes; and daughter Lisa (Tom) Wells. Also leaving to mourn are her sisters Annie (Bill) Lush, Eileen Winsor, Louise (Bill) Saunders, Daphne (Ambrose) Thompson, Peggy Quinton, Linda (Murray) Loveless, Pansy (Derick) Lush, and Debbie (Perry) Stuckless; brothers Bill (Mildred) Brett and Derek Brett; three grandchildren, Hannah, Jacob, and Lily.
A special thank you to the wonderful care provided by the ICU nurses at the Central Newfoundland Regional Health Center. Your kindness will never be forgotten.
In keeping with Katherine’s wishes, cremation has taken place.
There will be no services at this time.
