Obituary of Katherine Dunlap
Katherine “Kathy” Grace Dunlap – Riverton – it is with great sadness we announce the loss of a dear mother, sister and friend.
Kathy was born May 30, 1958 in Newton Mills. Through out her life, Kathy was a lover of music and art. She was known for being a generous friend, happy to share what she had with others.
One of Kathy’s proudest accomplishments was getting baptized as one of Jehovah’s Witnesses in 2018. Kathy’s faith bought her much joy and peace and she eagerly looked forward to the fulfillment of future Bible promises. Kathy, along with her infectious smile and laugh, will be missed dearly by her friends in the New Glasgow congregation.
Kathy is survived by her son John David, siblings Thelma (Gerald) Butler, Bernie (Sue), Donna (Charles) Gillis, Juanita, Freeman (Denise), Eunice, Larry and sister-in-law Rene.
She was predeceased by her parents George and Ethel Dunlap, sisters Ruby and Helen, and brothers Herman, Roy and Ronnie.
Kathy’s family and friends wish to extend a very special thank you to the wonderful staff/fellow residents, at Brook Haven for making it a such welcoming and comfortable home.
Visitation will be held Wednesday, June 1st from 2-4 PM and 6-8 PM at Eagles Funeral Home, Westville. Internment will be at Riverside Cemetery, Upper Stewiacke, on Thursday, June 2nd at 11 AM.
A memorial service will be held Saturday, June 4th at 2 PM on Zoom with Mr. Rex Watson officiating
