Katherine Kay Gallacher Friday November 18th 2022

Katherine Isabel Gallacher (Bell) was born on September 1, 1929, and died November 18, 2022, at the Stayner Care Center at the age of 93. Kay was the loving wife of Hugh A Gallacher (deceased), mother of Debbie Gardhouse, David (deceased) and Ian (deceased). Proud Grandma of Amanda (Darcy MacDonell), Derek, Jordan Gardhouse (deceased) and Peri, Alex, and Bryce Gallacher. Great Granny of Adie and Harper MacDonell. Kay was predeceased by her parents, Allan, and Isabel (Currie) Bell, and all her siblings, Donald (Edith), Archie, Margaret (Danny McCormick), Florence (Jim Nixon), Currie and Bruce. She will be remembered fondly by her nieces and nephews from the Bell and Gallacher families. Kay and Hugh lived in Nottawa and raised their family on their fruit farm. When not helping with the apples, cherries, and tomatoes, she loved to curl, bowl, play euchre and bingo… and she loved to win! Kay also sang in the Choir, was involved in Kinettes and V-club, and could bake an amazing apple pie or butter tart. More than anything, she loved gardening and spending time with family. Kay was a daughter, wife, mom, grandmother, great gran, sister, sister-in-law, aunt, friend, and neighbour who will be missed. We will love you always and forever. As per her wishes, cremation has taken place and a Celebration of Life will occur on June 3, 2023, at 186 Glenlake Blvd., Collingwood. In lieu of flowers, donations to The Salvation Army Food Bank in Collingwood would be appreciated.
