Karl Delmar Spencer – 75, of
Spencer Point Road, Great Village, passed away on Wednesday,
June 8, 2022 in the Colchester East Hants Health Centre, Truro. Born
in Truro, he was a son of the late Clayton and Bertha
Spencer.
Karl was a successful Owner
Operator for more than 50 years. His spare time was spent on the Bay,
in the woods or with his horses. He was a loving husband, father,
grandfather, and friend to many.
Karl is survived by his only child,
Karla (Spencer) and fiancé Dennis Benere of Enfield;
grandson, Dylan (Kayleigh) Askew of Lantz; granddaughter, Brea Askew
of Enfield; sisters-in-law, Dorris of Ontario, and Myrna (Frank) Weir,
Crowes Mills.
He was predeceased by his wife,
Iona Spencer; brothers, Keith and Garth Spencer; sister, Thelma
Spencer; sisters and brothers-in-law, Agnes and Newell Hill; Alvis and
Velma Hines; mother and father-in-law Harry and Hilda
Fahey.
Arrangements have been entrusted to
Mattatall~Varner Funeral Home, 55 Young Street, Truro where funeral
service will take place 1 pm on Tuesday, June 14,
2022 Reverend Mark
Kingsbury officiating. Interment to follow in Mahon
Cemetery, Great Village. If so desired, donations to Canadian Cancer
