Obituary of Karen Jeanette Mosko
Suddenly and with great sadness at the age of 54 Karen Jeanette Mosko (Dolson) passed away on September 6, 2022, at St. Elizabeth Family Health Center in Youngstown, Ohio with family by her side.
Survived by her husband Michael Mosko. Son Rex and Daughter Catherine, dogs Ashukinaal, Iris, Wchapihkush, Hdeeogee. Godsons Joseph and Calel. Siblings Heather (Bruce) Ireland, Crystal (Ben) Flewelling, Aaron P. Dolson, Kelly Hendrick, Todd Hunter, Danielle Verkin, Carter Hunter, Cameron Hunter. Brothers in law Ronald, Gregg and Edward. Sisters in law Joyce and Anita. Nieces and Nephews Ashley (Dustin), Dwight (Shivon), Alex, Coby, Corrinna, Cheyenne, Sierra and Dallas. Great Nieces and Nephews William, Nathaniel, Anthony, Rhymer, Lincoln, Egan, Tamara, Ta’Kiya, Tehya, Shivon, Laciana, Daniel and Lawrencea. Pre-deceased by Father Aaron B. Dolson (2013), Mother Heather (2020), Niece’s Christie Dianne Ireland (2019).
Karen was well loved and respected by all those who knew her. She began working at Southern First Nations Secretariat, Munsee-Delaware Nation, Managed and began her lifelong passion of recovering and teaching our Lenape language to everyone for over a decade. Karen was the first to obtain her University degree in our family and everyone is so proud of her accomplishments. Many many close friends from Mnaasged, Munsee-Delaware Nation, New York, New Jersey, and Lenape Language students and all surrounding people she met on her many traveling days, all will miss her dearly.
The service is to come. Friends may visit family at the fire at Deer Dodem Road, Muncey, Ontario. Elliott-Madill Funeral Home, Mount Brydges entrusted with arrangements.
