Karen’s Obituary
Ross, Karen Joan – 83, Pugwash Junction, passed away November 27, 2022, at the East Cumberland Lodge in Pugwash. Born in Tatamagouche she was a daughter of the late William and Janet (Peers) Ross. Karen had worked for the Royal Bank of Canada for over 38 years, (Woodstock, ON., Dartmouth, Halifax and Amherst, from where she retired). She was a member of the Royal Canadian Legion, Peace Branch 60, for over 38 years and had served as treasurer for several of those years. Karen had also served as treasurer of the Eaton Cemetery and was a member of various local horse associations. She loved being around her horses. Karen loved her family and they were always the most important thing in her life. She is survived by a brother, Arthur (Noreen) Ross; sisters, Nancy Sutherland and Dorothy Roberts (David), all of Woodstock, ON; several nieces, nephews, great and great-great nieces and nephews. Besides her parents she was predeceased by her aunt and uncle, Dorothy and Charlie Brown. Services will be held and announced at a later date. The family would like to thank the staff of the East Cumberland Lodge for the excellent care give to Karen these last few years. Donations in memory may be made to the Eaton Cemetery, The Canadian Cancer Society or the Heart an d Stroke Foundation of Nova Scotia.
