Obituary
“To live in the hearts of those we love,
is never to die.”
It is with broken hearts that we announce the passing of a dear wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother, Karen Jane Ethel Hoddinott on November 1, 2022 at the age of 65 years.
Left to mourn with the fondest of memories are her loving husband of 48 years, Larry Hoddinott; her children, Jennifer (Ian) Osmond, Angela (Kip) Kenny, Ocean Evergreen, and Justin (Chesley) Hoddinott; her grandchildren: Hana, Samantha, Kevin, and Willow; her great-grandchild Harper; her “favourite” sister Joanne (Ronnie); her brother John (Jennifer); sisters-in-law: Debbie (Eric), and Colleen (Keith); as well as many special Aunts, Uncles, nieces, nephews & a large circle of extended family and friends. Karen is predeceased by her brother-in-law Morrison (Mary); and her grandparents Ethel and Ernest Carberry.
The family would like to express sincere gratitude to Cody LaFosse RN and the staff at Community Health for the continued care you provided throughout Karen’s recent years. Your kindness and compassion will never be forgotten. A special thank you also goes out to Dr. Bolous & all staff at Western Memorial Regional Hospital and CBLTC who cared for Karen over the years.
As per Karen’s wishes cremation has taken place. There will be a private visitation and funeral service held for close family and friends with Rev. Jocelyn Cook officiating. Interment to follow at a later date. A donation can be made in Karen’s memory to a charity of one’s choice.
