Lebel, Karen (nee O’Brien) September 17, 1959-December 14, 2022
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the unexpected passing of Karen at the North Bay Regional
Health Centre on Wednesday December 14th, 2022, surrounded by her loving family. Loving spouse of
Gilles Lebel. Daughter of Patricia and of the Late Gerald O’ Brien. Adoring mother to Ryan (Crystal),
Travis (April), Jordan (Brad) and Hailey. Caring grandmother to Anthony, Evan, Rilley, Joel, and
Mason. She also leaves behind her siblings Cheryl Zufelt (Bill), Kevin O’Brien (Kim), Maureen Schofield
(Scott), Mike O’Brien (Paula), Tim O’Brien (Eva), Mary Salmon (Kirby), Colleenen (predeceased), and Jen
Van Dusen (Wayne) as well as her brothers-in-law in-law Fern (Linda), Gerald (Caroline), and Paul
(Kim). Predeceased by her mother-in-law and father-in-law Francoise and Rene Lebel whom she
cherished dearly. She will be sadly missed by to numerous nieces and nephews. Our best memories
were had at the trailer, sitting around the campfire, with our friends and family by our side. Karen will
be missed by all who had the pleasure of knowing her. Family will be receiving friends and family for a
visitation on Friday December 16, 2022 from 6 until 9 pm at Hillside Funeral Services. A funeral mass
will be held at St Peter the Apostle Church on Saturday December 17, 2022 at 1 pm. A heartfelt thank
you to the caring staff in the CCU department of the North Bay Regional Health Centre for their special
care and compassion given to Karen during her stay. In lieu of flowers the family would appreciate
