It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Kalevi Rintala, in his 84th year on May 18, 2022 (Born Oct 23, 1938 in Teuva, Finland). Beloved husband of Anja Rintala (Oksanen) and father of Anne (Brian) Dempsey, Nina (Mikael) Maki and Pasi Rintala. Cherished paappa of Kira, Mika, Vesa, Tiia, Heli, Lea and Sami. Predeceased by his parents, Veini and Bertta Rintala. Sadly missed by family and friends in both Finland and Canada. Kalevi was a man of faith, kind and gentle. He was talented and hardworking, always willing to share his skills and time. He was fearless and adventurous. He will not be forgotten by all who loved him.
Family will gather privately at a later date to honour his life.
Donations in Kalevi’s name can be made to New Hope Lutheran Church in Sudbury or a charity of your choosing.
