Obituary of Kailash Chaudhry
Chaudhry, Kailash (nee Mehta) – With great sadness, we announce that Kailash passed away peacefully on January 23, 2022.
Kailash was born in Rawalpindi in what is now Pakistan in 1933. She moved to Canada in 1963 with her husband and 2 young sons. After a year in Ottawa, the family moved to Kingston.
Kailash was predeceased by her loving husband, Mahinder, and her younger son Raman (Valerie). She was a devoted Mother to Sunil (Lynne), former daughter-in-law Janet, and to her grandchildren, Ross (Lyndsay), Lisa (Paul), and Anita (Matt). She also leaves behind 2 great-grandchildren, Xavier and Felix.
Kailash was an excellent cook and taught Indian cooking at St. Lawrence College. Kailash and her husband were heavily involved in The India Canada Association in its early days. She will be deeply missed by her many friends and by the Kingston Indian Community.
There will be a private family ceremony. We wish to thank Dr. Gill and Dr. Joneja for their support in these difficult times. In lieu of flowers, please consider making a donation to UHKF – Providence Care Hospital or a charity of your choice.

Our most sincere sympathies to the family and friends of Kailash
