Obituary of June Lillian Morton
June Lillian Morton, aged 89 years of Arnprior, Ontario passed away peacefully at the Arnprior District Memorial Hospital surrounded by those she loved on Sunday, September 25, 2022.
June was born in East York, Ontario to Earl and Violet Godfrey. She is survived by her daughter Rev. Julie-Ann Morton; her sister Sharon Wilkinson (Aubrey) and her brother Greg Godfrey (Judy) as well as many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her parents, Earl and Violet Godfrey; her husband, Robert Anderson Morton and a sister, Charlene Garrett.
June passionately loved her daughter and they spent much of their time together crafting, playing games or enjoying visits to various thrift stores. June had a love of people, and enjoyed being with her family, friends and her fury companion Taffy. She was kind and gentle with anyone she met and absolutely loved her NeighbourLink Fountain family. Her smile, willing heart and fighting spirit will live on in the lives of those who loved her most.
June lived out her love for her Lord through loving others.
All are welcome to join in a luncheon and time of sharing memories in the lower auditorium of the Elgin Street Baptist Church, 135 Elgin Street West, Arnprior on Thursday September 29th from 2-4 p.m. Burial will take place at Wideman Mennonite Church Cemetery, Markham Ontario later.
In lieu of flowers the family would ask that you consider donating to Elgin Street Baptist Church or The NeighbourLink Fountain.
