June 27, 1948 – February 4, 2022

June went to be with her Lord on Friday, February 4, 2022, in her 74th year, peacefully surrounded by her family. June was the beloved wife of John, loving mother to Chris, Shannon and Kathy, mother-in-law to Kathleen and Sharon and Jeremy (predeceased), and fiercely loving grandmother to Melanie, Heather, Caely, Hannah, David and Calvin. June was also a caring sister to Barbara, Patti, Dorothy and Earlene and aunt to many.
June was an affectionate caregiver to many children over her 40 years of babysitting. Many of whom kept in touch into adulthood. June was also a member of Binbrook Baptist Church for 41 years.
There are no words that can completely convey the love, care, devotion and joy that was June. She was the most caring and generous person who always put her family and loved ones before herself. She had a smile that could light up a room and was always ready to play with her children, grandchildren and the children she cared for over the years. Born appropriately in the summer, June’s sunny personality brought light to so many people’s lives, and she will be forever missed but never forgotten.
Visitation will be held at Bay Gardens Funeral Home, 947 Rymal Road East, Hamilton. Due to COVID restrictions, registration is online at baygardens.ca. At 11 am on Friday, February 11, 2022, a service will be held at Binbrook Baptist Church, with a private interment at Glanbrook Cemetery to follow.
