June Madelyn Connell
1930-2022
It is with great sadness and broken hearts that we announce
the passing of June Madelyn Connell, age 91, on Sunday, June 26, 2022
in Valley Regional Hospital, surrounded by her loving family. Born in
New Germany, she was the daughter of Carmon and Bernice (Beck)
Meisner. She is survived by her daughter, Becky (Donald, predeceased)
Llewellyn, Kentville and son, Stephen (Lisa), Centreville;
grandchildren, Ashley and Bradley Llewellyn, Kentville and her one
beautiful great granddaughter, Emma; brother, Atwood Meisner of New
Germany; brothers-in-law, Loris (Audrey) Connell and Vernon (Trinda)
Connell, Middleton; Allan Foley, Bridgewater as well as numerous
nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by
her loving husband, Warren, in 2001; son-in-law, Donald; brother,
Carmon; sisters-in-law, Ruth and Phyllis; niece, Cathy; nephew (infant
son of Carmon and Ruth) and Warren’s numerous siblings. She
leaves behind many friends as well. She graduated from the Bridgewater
Commercial School in 1948 and was subsequently employed at MW Graves,
Valley Beverages, Clayton Spicer Insurance and McDonald Chisholm
Insurance. She received Volunteer Recognition from Annapolis Valley
Health in 2004. She was a member of the Bridgetown Baptist Church and
the Baptist Women’s Fellowship. Many wonderful memories have
been and will be shared over the coming days including summers in
Hampton, special times with Ashley, Bradley and Emma, family
vacations, visits with her fur grandbabies, just to name a few. At
Mom’s request there will be no visitation. Cremation has
taken place. Family flowers only. A memorial service will be held at
1:00 p.m. on Friday, July 1, 2022 in the White Family Funeral Home,
Kentville. A video webcast will be available at that time of service.
A private interment will be held for both June and Warren in Riverside
Cemetery, Bridgetown. Special thanks to Dr. C. Burgoyne, Dr. M.
Keough, Dr. McClure and the staff of Medical A, Medical B and the
Emergency Department of Valley Regional Hospital. Donations in memory
may be made to the Alzheimer Society. Arrangements have been entrusted
to the White Family Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Kentville.
