Obituary
Garby, June
June Evelyn Garby June 13th, 1955 to August 23rd, 2022; a great loss for all that had the pleasure of meeting, knowing, and loving her. June was a loyal, fun spirited, witty woman, who loved her family with all of her heart. June lived for her husband, William Garby; children, Joan Power (Sean) and William Linke; grandchildren, Jessica, Brittany Gracie Power, Alivia Vesgar – Linke, Maci Mattson and Sophia Parlee; sister, Ange Ross (John) and brother, Ronald Carr (Annette); as well as several nieces and nephews several nieces and nephews that were near and dear to her heart will remember and mourn her loss; she was predeceased by brother, Brian Carr.
She would always put herself last, and her family first. June’s greatest accomplishment in her eyes were her honoured titles as Mom and Nana. She had a great ability to make all feel at home in her presence. June always loved when friends would stop in for coffee, and chats. She loved spending time with her family, going on four wheeler drives to the lake with her husband John, and grand kids, spending time at the camp, and cracking jokes no matter the situation. June had a great ability to make people laugh (most often inappropriate humour that we will hold dear to our hearts forever), and she welcomed anyone in her home. She liked to tell anyone that came in her door; “There’s food in the fridge, help yourself, If you don’t get it yourself, you’ll starve.” She was funny that way. June loved spending time in her home, she loved music, sewing, quilting, card games, nature, and always had advice to offer to anyone. She was honest, had an eye for detail, and a true realist. She will be deeply missed, mourned, and cherished for years to come by her loved ones. Those who were close to June knew if they had a problem, her great mind would come up with a solution, she was a professional problem solver. Her loved ones have faced struggles throughout the years and they knew that they could always go to June to help them through it. Life will not be the same without our precious June. June served as a safe haven for many, she was strong, stern, and stubborn but a heart bigger than anyone could measure. Her loss is a great one, and life will truly never be the same. May she rest at peace now, free of suffering, and watch over her family just as she did here on Earth.
